Multitasking

A shortish post tonight. The day has got away from me a bit and so now it is late and I would like to sleep.

Not much happened in the day to make it so slippery, it has just been one of those days that has been hard to hold onto. Tried to fit a few to many things into a single day and just plain ran out of time I suspect.

It wasn't all running around and hardship though, some of the things I ended up cramming into the day including doing a bit of this out on the paddleboard.

Plus I also got to jump on the Kickr for 70 minutes, so I really can't complain.

In a first for me the my Kickr session was actually a nice bit of multitasking. I had a late meeting this evening that was being conducted online and that I needed to call into so I thought I might combine it with a bit of exercise. I knew I would mostly just be listening with my mic on mute and so I thought that if I was going to have to sit in front of my laptop for an hour for the meeting I might as well sit on a bike in front of the laptop instead.

I think it worked quite well. The only difficulty was trying to preempt if I was going to need to talk so that I could give myself a minute to catch my breath, so that I didn't like I was calling from the middle of a marathon. Personally I think I nailed it. Efficiency.

Down to Claremont tomorrow to help Paul out with the Threshold Friday sessions. Perhaps...

I say perhaps because there is a fair old bit of rain forecast for tomorrow. With storms on the horizon you never quite know if training is going to happen or whether some lightning is going to get in the way. At the moment though it is certainly full plans ahead. We shall see what tomorrow brings.

Sleep ahoy.
