A good few days of training under my belt this week. Almost like things are starting to feel a bit more like normal.
Good bike session yesterday morning, swim session yesterday afternoon and another run session tonight. The swim last night was probably the session of significance out of them all. Still nothing particularly to write home about, but definitely some small improvements. The shoulder has freed up enough that I can now breath bilaterally more consistently. Not quite breathing as normal, but better than it was on the weekend. The shoulder also feels more confident on the catch, less like the joint is under strain. Things gradually returning to normal.
Running too is feeling a lot more confident. Today was the last run on my physio running program, and as such it was a mix of running and walking, 5 minutes of running and 2 minutes of walking a few times through to be exact. Whilst the running was broken up it is feeling a lot stronger. I have lost a little bit of weight and regained a little bit of strength, all of which is helping the running feel a bit more like normal.
While this is my second week of being back at training, it really feels like my first week back at effective training. Last week was all about finding my feet and getting back in the groove. This week is too, but the sessions are feeling more effective, feels more like I am making gains.
Still a long road ahead, but this weeks feels like I have finally found the start.
