Happy Easter everyone.
Or Happy Eating Chocolate Day as it is known to many people.
Or Happy Denying Yourself Chocolate Day as it is probably known to most people who read this blog.
It has been a nice day today. For us Easter is a great family day. It generally involves our kids gorging themselves on chocolate and us trying to control the chocolate intake. Traditionally (it has happened more than two times so it is a tradition according to my daughter) we have an egg hunt or two and just generally chill out.
For us it hasn't been an entire dietary disaster. There was definitely chocolate consumption, but it hasn't been too excessive. It certainly could have been worse.
There has been a bit of training today too. This morning it was another easy jog, following the instructions of my physio in regard to the rehab sessions I have been doing for my shin/knee. In that regard the session went well, with my knee feeling good afterwards. My general feeling is that the niggle is improving. It isn't the sort of thing will heal over night, but I think it definitely is on the upswing. Running isn't feel too bad either.
The other activity for the day was my second swim session for the week. A little bit more actual swimming today, but still not a lot. In the end my shoulder fatigued and got a bit sore, but before that it actually felt almost normal. It gives me hope that as I continue to swim the shoulder will continue to improve.
Tomorrow it is back on the Kickr for another interval session. Easter Monday means no work and so whilst there is some training in the morning the rest of the day should be fairly relaxing.
Nice way to spend the day,
