So I was close in my estimate of online accessibility. I figured I would be online yesterday but not today, so I got the frequency correct at least.
Been a busy couple of days, travelling for work. The travel included an afternoon in Darwin, which was a great opportunity to catch up with Daryl and my parents. Having a good face to face sit down with Daryl is always a great chance to recalibrate, gets some plans in place for the rest of the year etc. The discussion was even more pertinent given my recent withdrawal from the Cebu 70.3. We needed a bit of a refocus. After a coffee and a chat I think we have at least a loose plan in place for the rest of the year. Should be a fun few months.
Today has been a bit less relaxing than yesterday with a very early start to kick of the trip to our worksite. Early as in 3:30am. On top of that I had just about the worst nights sleep yesterday. Not entirely sure why, but it could have been the cup of tea I unthinkingly had at 7:00pm keeping me awake. I am sure it isn't as bad as all this, but from where I was lying last night it felt like I only had a couple of hours of sleep. Given the sleep deprivation I am functioning surprisingly well at the moment.
Back to relaxed mode after today hopefully. Still a full day of travel to get through to get back home tomorrow (an hour in a helicopter, an hour on a plane then another 4 hours in a different plane). Once I am home though it will be back to routine. After chatting to Daryl yesterday it won't be back into full on training straight away, but the process of regaining race fitness will begin.
I have to say I am looking forward to it.
I may or may not be online tomorrow. If my prediction about yesterday is any indication then I probably won't be. Hopefully my predication about being wrong turns out to be incorrect.
