A good solid session on the trainer this morning. It was good to get back to cranking out some power. I woke up this morning still feeling pretty tired, but once I got on the bike and got going I was feeling good. It ended up being a good session, still some way to go, but certainly a start on the road back to producing proper numbers.
Not that it mattered, but it was a good morning to be on the trainer too, with squalls of rain passing over during the entire session. Certainly one of those mornings where you sit on the trainer feeling very happy to be inside and dry.
Staying dry shouldn't be a problem for my run this morning though. After a rainy morning the day has fined up to be quite glorious. Should be a nice session hopefully. If it isn't I won't have the weather as an excuse that's for sure.
As I have said, the return to running is going nicely, so hopefully the run tonight builds on that. The balance is pushing the improvements without pushing them too much. I have probably been guilty of pushing too much, too quickly in my last couple of sessions, so my focus tonight will be keeping a lid on it a bit.
Wednesday morning Swim Smooth session tomorrow. Hopefully last week wasn't an anomaly and tomorrow's session goes just as well.
