More steps back towards health today.
As I mentioned yesterday, training today looked a lot like training yesterday. An hour spinning on the Kickr. However, today's session was a definite improvement over yesterday. A few more watts of average power produced for the same heart rate. Plus on top of that breathing was just generally easier. Still not perfect and I had a few bouts of coughing, but on the whole it was more a comfortable session than yesterday. All those things are telling me that my body is finding its way back to normal.
The big downside of the session was that I broke one of my favourite drink bottles. Tragedy I know. I dropped it and it landed on the top, breaking the mouthpiece. The HORROR!!!! Very annoying really, I quite liked that drink bottle. Seems to have been a bad year for it so far. I can't really remember ever breaking a water bottle before this year, but I seem to have destroyed four or five of them this season. Perhaps it is an issue with the drink bottles, rather than an issue with my own increasing extreme clumsiness. At least that is what I am going to tell myself.
Just like yesterday, more of the same tomorrow I think. I am hoping that the gradual improvements that I have been having will mean that I am getting back to business around Sunday. Fingers crossed.
