Last Day

No post again yesterday. To be honest I got a bit caught up in resort life and it got away from me. It is funny how time cosuming doing nothing can be.

Not that I spent the day doing nothing at all, in fact one of the activities for yesterday was one of the main reasons for us still being here in Phuket. The wedding of Glen and Kylie Scholz. Glen and Kylie are members of the Darwin Tri crew and I have known them for a few years now. A little while ago they decided that the race up here in Phuket was a good opportunity to kill two birds with one stone and have a tropical beach wedding as well. That was on yesterday evening and last night.

It really was a lot of fun. I haven't been to a wedding for a while, but I always really enjoy them. They really are a special day. Having the wedding on the resort was something fairly unique too. Pretty amazing being able to walk from the ceremony to the reception. Plus any wedding that you can attend in flip flops rates highly in my book. Very nice way to end our trip too.

Yep that is right, end out trip. Today is our last day in  Phuket. It has been a great visit and we have all had a fairly lovely time, but I think we are all ready to be home. We are currently cooling our heels at the resort waiting until our flight which unfortunately isn't until about 11:00pm. We are hardly suffering though since we are still in our room, with a late checkout at 4:00pm and will be hanging around the resort until early evening before heading to the airport.

What happens after that, well we will have to wait and see. Flying on a red eye with a family of four should be an rather 'interesting' experience. I really have no idea how it is going to go. it is one of those experiences that you take one moment at a time. With any luck the kids sleep the whole way and the entire thing is fairly painless. With any luck...
