Home again

I have made it home. Darwin was good, but it is really, really nice to be home. The travel and the rest of the day has gone fine. The flight was an early one requiring an early start, but the upside to that is that I got back to Perth at a reasonable time and have had a good day.

Other than the travel that it has been an uneventful day. Not so much last night though. Last night was going fine, sleeping away as is the norm for night time, when around midnight I was torn abruptly from sleep by the hotel fire alarm. Took me a couple of minutes to figure out what was going on by which time an announcement had come over telling us that evacuation wasn't necessary but that the source of the alarm was being investigated. This was followed up a little while later with an all clear announcement. The interruption wasn't for long, but it broke the night up a fair bit. Combined with the early start for the plane I have been pretty tired today.

Being so tired has meant that I have given myself the day off (I was supposed to have a walk/run). I don't have anything on the program for tomorrow morning so I will sleep as late as I am able in the morning and do the walk/run then. Tomorrow is a fairly easy day training wise, so moving the session shouldn't be to problematic. Whilst tomorrow is an easy day it is the last one I have on the program for a while, with Sunday being a more solid day and then training returning to normal next week.

I think I am more or less ready for training to return to normal, I am still feeling a little shabby physically but I think that is probably more due to a lack of sleep than anything. As well as returning to routine for training, being home will mean I can also return to routine in terms of diet and sleep patterns. I suspect that returning to normal will get me feeling fine again in no time.
