I really should have just kept my mouth shut about the weather being on the improve. Man we have had some weather in the last 24 hours. We are still having it really. Last night we had winds of 30km/h and gusts up to 70km/h. 'Dangerous Winds' is apparently the term according to the Bureau. I spent the night listening to the wind howl, wondering how long it would be until my roof decided to break free and explore the world unfettered by the shackles of the rest of my house, so when I got up in the morning I wasn't confident about the ride. In the end I decided against heading out in the name of good sense.
When I got up I had every intention of heading out. I knew it would be absolutely horrible, but figured it had to be done so it would be best if I just sucked it up. But then the gale force, horizontal rain started and I thought 'stuff this' and went back to bed. The plan is to get the session done this afternoon after work. The weather now still isn't tea and biscuits, but it is better than 70km/h gusts. At last check the winds were below 20km/h and gusts were down to about 30km/h. Better than nothing. Unfortunately a big part of my ride heads straight into that wind, but there isn't much I can do about that. I might not be breaking any records though.
Running day tomorrow. I really hope the weather starts to improve. The weather is less of a factor during running, but still I really am getting a bit sick of winter.
