Distant memory

It was back on the bike this morning and back into it. My easy week last week is now just a fading memory. Once I was on the bike and spinning it was like I had never been off it. The only difference being my rather limited choice of cycling gear thanks to me stupidly leaving a bunch of it in Bintan. I haven't heard back one way or another on that clothing, but I am still hopeful.

This is it now. This is the start of the next 12 weeks which is going to end up with my lining up for my first Ironman in Busselton. Phew. Just a little apprehensive to say the least. Between now and then I also will have a little race called the Mandurah 70.3 to knock over. But I think it is fair to say that the next 12 weeks are about Busselton, rather than Mandurah. I can feel the Ironman black hole looming, getting ready to swallow my life. Hopefully I am in one piece when I climb out the other end.

This week sort of eases me back into training and so I have nothing on the program this afternoon. Tomorrow is another easy day, with just a fairly steady run in the morning. I think I will enjoy the easy days while I have them.
