Not that bad

Well the physio visit last night went pretty much according to plan. As suspected the strain to my hamstring is pretty minor. I was advised to give it a couple of days of rest and then it should start coming good, just be careful with it for a little while. That means a day off today and a day of swimming and hopefully light cycling tomorrow. Then we shall see. It is feeling pretty good, still tender to the touch, but pretty much pain free walking etc.

Perth has been having some proper wild winter weather, so today is probably a good one for a day of rest. Hopefully the weather starts to clear up tomorrow when I am trying to exercise again. On the way to the physio yesterday it was absolutely belting with rain, causing me to jog to stay dry. It occured to me that jogging to get to the physio to see about a hamstring strain was probably not the best idea. Having said that the leg held up, so that was reassuring. Follow up appointment tomorrow which will be a bit of a check before engaging in exercise again.

I am feeling pretty okay, given the injury and the day off. Knowing that it is only minor and shouldn't have to much of an impact on long term training means I can relax and enjoy the rest, rather than get anxious and stressed about it. It just needs to recover on schedule now.
