Planning

Another quiet day today training wise. Really at the moment most of my focus is on my doctor's appointment tomorrow. I am hopeful that I might be able to get an approximate date for plate removal. Not that I am counting the days or anything.

General shoulder pain is on the improve which is telling me that resting my shoulder is bringing the expected improvements, so that is a bright side. It would be fairly frustrating if the improvements weren't happening. Now that plate removal is becoming more of a real thing, Daryl and I have started have some very preliminary discussions about training and racing. Very, very preliminary.

Still a long, long way to go with another month until the plate comes out and then months more of training to get fit again, but I am beginning to get an idea of what the rest of my year might look like and it is looking fun.

Whilst today had no training, it wasn't entirely dull. Today was my daughters first day of proper school. Sure she was going to school 5 days a week last year, but that was pre-primary. She is now in Year 1 and so a fully fledged member of the big school. She proudly got to change her yellow hat (pre-primary) for a blue one (the rest of the school). Time goes pretty quick sometimes and it is nice to be around to see it. If I was picking the best benefit of this injury that would be it. Not that taking the family to race at interesting places around the Australia and Asia is terrible either.

It really isn't.

But this is good too.

Doctor tomorrow.
