The upside to no training is that my shoulder is feeling a lot better today. The pain I have been getting from the plate impinging on my shoulder bursa seems to be improving. The improvement is about what I would expect given when I first strained it. Apparently it usually takes a few weeks to calm down and I am coming up on that now. My goal now is to not do it again.
Whilst I haven't been able to train today, it hasn't meant a triathlon free day. This morning I got to watch some friends race extremely well at Challenge Melbourne. Tim Green swam and rode phenomenally to smash out 7th place in the men and Katy Duffield rode and ran amazingly to come 4th in the women. It was great to watch these guys start the season with solid races and impressive results.
Watching these guys race so well just makes me more keen to get back to it. I know it will take time, and it will be important not to rush, but once this shoulder is all good, I can't wait to get racing again.
