Zap, Pow !!!!

Yesterday I was moaning about hopefully feeling a bit better today and you know what, I have to say I think I have been. Not 100% certainly, but I think I woke up feeling better than I have for a while. Definitely a bit more coherent. Amazing what some slightly warmer weather will do for you. And some recovery time of course.

Feeling that little bit better meant that my run session this morning went quite nicely. Just a fairly easy mixed tempo session, but still it was good to get out and enjoy running. The only wrinkle was that as I was about to set off I realised that my Garmin 920XT wasn't picking up my heart rate monitor. How very Garmin of it I thought and I went inside to change it over. Lo and behold my Magellan one wouldn't pick up either. Neither would the Schosche Rhythm that I tried. How very weired I thought, before promptly giving up on them all and running without one. It has still got me a bit baffled really since when I tried this afternoon it seemed to all work fine. No idea. My Garmin 920 did do an update the other day, so perhaps that was it. As I said, quite a Garminesque experience. A good session though despite all that.

Swimming in the morning and my first real Swim Smooth session since returning from Bintan. Interestingly Paul sent a text message out to the entire squad this afternoon asking us all to bring down cotton T-shirts for a bit of a fun and interesting session. Okaaay... Apparently tomorrow's session is going to change things up a little and be bit like how Saturday afternoon open water sessions usally are. Which should mean that tomorrow will be a bit of a lactic smashfest, but also a lot of fun. Kind of looking forward to it. And very intrigued to see what the T-shirts are for.

Many other interesting things happening tomorrow to. For one I will be heading back to Dr Gary Couanis for what I am hoping will be a bit of a summary of test results and a bit of an idea of a long term way forward. Perhaps even a bit of a resolution to these recent heart issues. That might be hoping for to much, but it should be an interesting appointment anyway.

As well as all that I am hoping that I will finally be able to get my hands on a special little something that has been getting lovingly built at Churchill Cycles for the last two weeks. I don't want to give to many details for now other than to say it is called a Falco V and it looks a lot like this.

What Batman would ride
