Okay, I made it, I am back.
What a week the last 7 days have been. It has been a whole 7 days since I did any exercise, and I don't mean since I did a proper session, I mean any exercise at all. The last time I did that it was because a Doctor ordered me to. Actually I tell a lie, I just remembered that I swam yesterday, but that was the only exercise in those 7 days. Still very unusual for me. Also been 7 days since I wrote a blog entry, I think that might be my longest ever break. Back to it now though.
Life since last Sunday has just been flat out. Travel for work, then long, busy days of work, then travel back home on Thursday. I admit I was home yesterday, but that was all about setting back into life here, more work etc. Today has been the first day where I felt my feet have touched the ground since last Sunday.
Today things have started to feel a bit more normal and I have to say it is great to feel like life is returning to routine. I didn't do any training this morning because after the week I have had I just thought it would be nice to relax and spend a morning with the family (which it was), but I lam looking forward to that part of life settling down again too.
Now that I am back in town I really just want to get back into my nice comfy rut for a while, work, coach, train, spend time with the family etc. You don't want life to be boring, but it can be nice every now and then.
Back to boring. Starting tomorrow.
