We will see

We have had such nice weather over the past week or so that it has been easy to forget that we are actually still in Winter. We are about to get a big reminder.

There is a joke around the Front Runner squad that whenever I take a Tuesday bike session it rains. It would be funny if it wasn't so painfully true. Just once I would love the prophecy to not be accurate. It doesn't look like tomorrow is going to be that day though.

Over tomorrow and Wednesday we are iin for some very nasty weather. On this blog I am a big advocate of getting out the door and getting the work done, being consistent and dedicated to the training, however, if the forecast for tomorrow is accurate then I completely understand if people stay home. Hopefully the people who are staying home are training on an indoor trainer, rather than just staying in bed, but I can understand if they don't want to come outside to play.

Of course, being the coach I will be there. One of the joys of being the coach is that you are at the session rain, hail or shine. It is one of the less publicised perks of the job. At this stage I am not sure if I will be riding or simply huddling up in a giant jacket trying to stay warm and dry. I think I will be leaving that decision until the morning.

In fact I hope everybody who would normally come to the bike session will be leaving the decision until the morning. What we have seen over the last month or so is that you never quite know what will turn up, no matter what the forecast is saying. We have seen week after week where rain was on the forecast but the actual weather we got was relatively fine. I am really hoping that tomorrow will be the same. Looking at the forecast I am not entirely hopeful that we are going to get though this one dry, but you never really know.

We will be finding out in the morning though.
