Epic Day

After the busy day in front of the computer yesterday, today was, if anything, even busier. However, whereas yesterday was full of coaching and program writing, today was full to the brim with family. Absolutely jam packed.

Today we have managed to do a round trip of 360km in the car to fit in a morning of exercise and activity in a town south of here called Bunbury. After that we spent about 5 minutes at home before rushing out the door and catching up with my sisters and all the cousins. All up we left home at 6:15am and staggered back home at about 7:00pm. I am exhausted just writing about it again.

Still these busy days are what makes a life and while we are all exhausted we are glad we managed to cram so much into the day. As my wife said 'I wouldn't want to do it every weekend, but it was great to have such a fun weekend'. Sure the house is a bombsite because we haven't had a chance to clean and a dozen other tasks remain undone, but the kids are currently in the exhausted sleep of kids who have had a busy day having fun and I am about to have much the same experience.

There is a time to work hard and there are times to train hard and with focus, but there are also times to relax and goof around with your kids for about 12 hours straight. Today was one of those.

I wouldn't have missed it for the world.
