Look ahead

Here we are, another day at the start of another week.

This week is looking like a mix of coaching, training and work.

Work looks like it is going to be pretty solid for most of this week. The next three days are more ore less solid meetings. Hmmm, awesomeness...

Busy week at work aside, the rest of my week is looking pretty good, full, but a lot of fun.
  • Swimming/coaching down the pool tomorrow.
  • Coaching down at SwimSmooth on Wednesday
  • Annual Break Your Limits Tour de France Dinner on Thursday night
  • Coaching down at SwimSmooth on Friday  morning followed by a bit of time at Front Runners
  • Perhaps some riding with the BYL Juniors before a bit more time at Front Runners in Wembley
  • Break Your Limits annual fun run fundraiser in Kings Park (running with Mrs Cross)
Phew, I am tired just writing it.

Whilst the week looks busy, there are actually a bunch of fun events in there. The annual BYL Tour de France dinner is a particular highlight. The dinner takes place at one of the French restaurants in Perth and it is always a whole bunch of fun, as well as very, very tasty. For us it is almost the best part of the tour (almost).

The other big highlight for this week will be the BYL fun run on Sunday. This is a run that has been going on for a few years now and is a great fundraiser for the BYL juniors. This year I will be taking part in the run for the first time, and to make it extra special, I won't be doing it alone. The run on Sunday will mark my wife's first ever fun run. There are a 5km and a 10km option and my wife and I will be doing the 5km option together.

Like when she did her first triathlon this year, I am immensely proud of my wife for taking on her first 5km event. It is a sign of just how far she has come since the beginning of the year that she didn't just consider a 5km event, but willingly signed up for it. Whatever the outcome is on Sunday, she is already awesome for just getting that far. The run on Sunday is nothing about speed and everything about having a great morning out. Pretty sure that is going to happen whatever the result

Busy week, better make a start.
