Phew, exhausted now. It has been a bit of a running around kind of day, as they often are.
As I mentioned yesterday, today I was out on the bike with the BYL Juniors. Today's session was the last one before a lot of squad head across to the Schoolsport Australia Triathlon Championships in Penrith next weekend. As such, today was all about race simulation. Going hard, going fast.
That is just what they were doing.
40km/hr on the bike and close to 3:00/km running type fast.
Thankfully for me I wasn't trying to keep up.
In fact I was doing just the opposite, spinning along to help out where I could, but really just trying to stay out of the way and watch the juniors fly.
Fair to say they are ready to race.
Being able to step back and let the juniors go also meant that for me the ride was much easier, not pushing my limits anywhere near as much as the ride yesterday did, which was definitely a good thing. In fact, after the rather long ride yesterday I was wondering if I was even going to be able to ride the bike at all, but as it turned out the bike felt pretty okay. I am fairly shattered now, but it was a nice way to spend a morning.
That is enough riding for me for a couple of days though I think.
