Home

Made it. I am officially back home again.

Miraculously my trip home went as well as my trip up to Iskandar Puteri. In fact if anything the trip home went better than the trip up. The entire return trip went off without a hitch. Pick up, transfer, flights etc smooth as the proverbial. The plane was empty which allowed me to get a few hours sleep, something I can't usually do. Immigration in Australia was great. The whole process of getting home was beautifully easy. I was snuggled up in my own bed an hour after landing. It sure is great relief to be home again.

I am currently feeling okay which is surprising given I think I have had about 9 hours sleep in the last two and a half days. Actually, I am a little amazed at how fine I am feeling, getting that bit of sleep on the plane helped a lot I suspect. I am not sure what state I would be if I hadn't got that. Unconscious probably. Whilst I haven't had heaps of sleep I think I have been getting just enough to survive. Big sleeps tonight though.

Physically I am feeling alright. I am not sure my body would back that up if I tried to run or ride, but I am not sore or anything. All the same I am about to head off and get a massage with uber masseuse Nathan Doig, just to work out a bit of stiffness and soreness from the race and the travel. Doigy can be a bit brutal sometimes so I might have to get him to ease back a notch. I want to be able to still walk later in the week.

That is me for the day though really. No training today, given I really only landed this morning and I rather desperately need sleep. Pretty easy start to the week while the body recovers from racing before a bit more volume towards the end of the week.
