Eyes bigger than stomach

A new day, still out here offshore doing my best to significantly increase my body weight in four days.

In all seriousness when being stationed at site, over eating is a real risk. It is a classic problem you see all the time, people who are new to site often balloon up in weight their first few visits. I struggle to walk away from food, as an athlete I will typically eat all that is given to me and will often still be hungry afterwards. Being out here I am in a situation where I really can eat really tasty food until I am totally full, which is probably not a good idea. Particularly given that I am not training much at the moment. I am not getting too hung up on it  though since my visit is a short one, so I am telling myself that I can't do too much damage in that time. Plus I was probably getting a bit on the slim side anyway so I can maybe do with a bit of fattening up. That is what I am telling myself anyway. It might be true.

I managed to catch up on some sleep from my very early morning yesterday, but I am still feeling fairly weary at the moment. Probably one more good night's sleep away from feeling properly human. Hopefully by the morning. Being a bit tired isn't helped by the fact that the days out here are long and also by the fact that you are nearly always walking up and down stairs. Where I am working is effectively 6 stories high and we are constantly moving between the levels. Given the amount of running I do I wouldn't have expected to be feeling the stairs, but if I am honest I am feeling a little sore.

Beyond eating and walking up and down stairs not a lot to report at the moment. Another couple of days and then I will be able to get back to life as normal.
