Resting up

Having a great time at the moment. After having the plate out we decided it would be a good time to have a relaxing weekend up at Guilderton. Nice way to relax and rest the shoulder a bit without just sitting on the couch in front of the TV all weekend.

I have a lot of childhood memories of being up in Guilderton and it is great to be up here with my kids watching them play the same games.

With instructions to rest the shoulder for a week or so to avoid infection there isn't a lot I can do on the training side of things, but spending the weekend this way is a pretty fair substitute.

The shoulder is feeling good too. I am occasionally surprised that it is sore when pressed, but then remind myself that I do have a stitched wound under the dressing. Other than direct impact on the dressing (which I unfortunately found to be painful the hard way) the shoulder is feeling good. I even took a few freestyle air strokes earlier and can easily get my arm through a full stroke without pain.

All signs are pointing positive. Just need to spend a few more days resting and healing. Shouldn't be too hard.
