Phew, made it.
This week has been a long one at work. It was always going to be and that is just how it panned out. Very glad to have made it to the end.
I am never a fan of having work dominate life, but I figured that with this week being my last before building back into training it was probably okay to have it be the main focus. Looking forward to next week being a bit easier and also having something else to think about. It will also be an interesting challenge re adapting to coordinating life with training back in the mix.
No work tomorrow though and so I am planning on taking the chance to head out on the bike. After surgery I was instructed to not sweat for 7 days. Those 7 days is up tomorrow, so I figure it might be time to start a little training before getting into the program next week. I can't really try swimming until the stitches are out next week and I would like to give my knee a few more days of rehab before running so I think riding may be the ticket. Hmmm, I just looked at the forecast though and it may actually be raining in the morning, so the session might be on the Kickr instead. I have just got over an injury so I will definitely not be heading out on wet roads tomorrow. Will just have to wait and see on that one.
I have really been sort of twiddling my thumbs and counting my days until Friday. Whilst I got the plate out last week I have known for a while that training wouldn't really start again until tomorrow. Now that Friday has come I am certainly keen to get on with it.
Slowly and surely of course.
