Not so bad

It has been another full on day made up of training, work and living, which is why I am writing this at 10 past 9 at night. Still I think I have managed to fit everything in and there is something nicely satisfying about that.

Training wise, I mentioned I had my most dreaded session of the week this morning, my first proper swim session in two weeks. I have to say it went surprisingly alright. In fact I would have to say it went better than alright, it went well. I am not sure if this is just sort of calm before the storm, but I was fine. The session was slightly shorter than a normal Wednesday morning, but even still I got through unscathed, even, I dare say, feeling good. I am going to hold off on the ticker tape parade though until I get through a couple more sessions. Not counting chickens and all that.

My other session for the say was a bike session which I did on the Kickr and which I have literally just finished (I am sitting here sweating). Once again that session also went well, although that was a little bit less of a surprise since it was very similar to the session I did on Monday morning. Things gradually feel like they are getting on track.

The last piece of the puzzle remains the run, which I will be looking into again tomorrow morning. The session tomorrow is another walk/run session and I am keen to see how I pull up this time in comparison to Tuesday. In the interest of gradual improvements, I am hoping any pain I get isn't as bad as my Tuesday pains. That is the hope anyway. I certainly feel that my groin and adductors are causing me less pain day to day. I am even at the point where I can jog across a road or something if I need to without first bracing myself for a bit of hurt. Happy Days!!!

Anyway, my truimphant finish to a busy day is crawling into bed and I so I full intend to go and get on with that.
