I was on the trainer this morning for my ride and nothing seemed to want to go right. I had the trainer all set up last night, 'right, I thought to myself, all good to go in the morning'. But then this morning it was just one thing after another. I was about to get on the trainer when:
- Son woke up, needed a nappy change and a cuddle - 15 minutes.
- Latch on laptop was mysteriously broken so it had to be bullied open - 5 minutes
- DVD wouldn't work, stuff around with that - 10 minutes.
Plus it looks like my heart rate monitor wasn't picking up right, so some of my data is all wonky.
I know right!!!!
I am sure I will survive.
Somehow...
First world problems.
Still, the session is done now. It went okay, was a little painful if I am honest. I hit the numbers I was after, but it felt like it was harder than I thought it should have been. I did wake up a bit tired and so the way I felt during the session might be due to fatigue, but I think it is more likely due to the session being tougher than it looked on paper.
I am still feeling pretty tired now actually and so I have been doing a good job of being a cranky athlete at work. Don't mess with me I am annoyed, tired and hungry. All charm.
