As I mentioned yesterday I was out on the bike this morning again. Unexpectedly warm morning, but as has been the trend this week, lovely in every other way.
Ride went really well, good power output and also pretty quick, which was sort of out of the blue. But the bike has been feeling good recently and I think this was just a continuation of that. I got to mess with some packs of cyclists as well, which as a triathlete, is a favourite pastime of mine. Some of the good average speed can probably be attributed to chasing down cycling packs I think.
Out for the second run of the week tonight and this one is simply a repeat of Tuesday's run. I am running with the same mate as the the other day, but this time I might suggest we refrain from trying to kill each other. I am really looking forward to getting my running up to speed. There was a little while there in the lead up to Melbourne where running fast just felt easy, and I am keen to get back to that. However, it can't be forced or rushed, do the work and it will come. But I just wish it would get here a little bit quicker.
Back to cycling and I was perusing ebay earlier today and came across this little bit of history up for sale.
World Championship wheels
According to the ad they are being sold by a guy in Noosa by the name of Pete. If I could just figure out who that could be....
Nope, can't get it, complete mystery.
Whoever this mystery Pete is though, it seems that he is clearing house. If you look at what else he has for sale, there is a veritable mountain load of tri gear up for sale.
Down to the pool in the morning. Presuming I survive the run tonight that is.
