I have had a day off work today and so it has been a nice and relaxing day.
The day started off with a nice solid swim down at Claremont pool with Swim Smooth and the rest of the day has been spent hanging out with the family.
The session this morning, whilst tough as usual, went well and so was a good confidence boost. I am now most of my way through two weeks of swimming since starting training again and form feels like it is slowly returning.
On a slightly different swimming front, having a day off work today meant that I got to go to my daughter's swimming lesson. She is in the process of learning to do freestyle and if I am honest she is struggling a little bit with the concept of breathing and using her arms at the same time. It is a tough idea when you are first shown it though so no rush, she is only four after all. Given enough practice she will get there in the end.
Moving away from the pool, I recently came across these guys on twitter.
Kinetic Revolution
I don't have any association with them, and I haven't used any of their paid services, but their website is awesome. It contains stacks of really useful and interesting running info. Little things like this:
Kinetic-revolution - Daily Workout
I have been really impressed with what is on the site, it is well presented and explained. Plus, so far I am yet to see anything which jumps out as being incorrect. I have certainly found a few things on there which have been useful. Just thought I would spread the word.
Out on to the bike tomorrow for a bit of a proper ride, getting back up to triple figures. Only just back up to triple figures, ie 100km, but you have to start somewhere.
