No training today, so nothing to report.

Not about the no training thing, that bit happened. I started my taper week off in style today with a day of rest, sleep in the whole bit. It has been very nice.
My cough is still going, so I am hoping that having had an easy day will help that along a fair bit. Based on what I saw with my kids, this cough seems to hang around for a week or so and I am really hoping that is the case with me as well. If it is I should start seeing some improvements over the next couple of days.
Tomorrow I am just on the bike. It should be a pretty solid ride, but after that I have nothing for the rest of the day, so once again hopefully the afternoon will be a bit more recovery time. The cough is pretty annoying, but I am finding the biggest frustration with it is now mental. Training has been going pretty well, but I have now had a week of slightly sub par training due to this cough, right when I could really have done with a week of good solid training. I need to have this cough gone, rather than lingering so that I don't have any questions hanging around in the back of my mind as I get closer to the weekend. It is hard to race flat out when you don't have total faith in your body to back you up.
These last few nights I have been heading to bed, hoping that in the morning the cough will be at least a little bit better. Tonight is no exception to that. Fingers crossed.
