Since it was a quiet day, I only had a run this morning, nice and easy. I was up at Guilderton yesterday afternoon and this morning, so I did the run up there. Not a bad place to run, but very hilly, plus it is only a small town, so running around town only gets you 3kms or so. After that you either need to keep doing laps of town or head down the road out of town, which is a bit like running down a country highway, so not all that nice. Still it gets the run done. At least today I wasn't running alone, I was accompanied by about a million flies. Flies are unfortunately just part of WA in Summer, you learn to put up with them, but this morning it was a little beyond a joke. When I was out of the wind I was running in my own personal cloud of flies. Amazingly I didn't swallow any. It was bad enough that at one point I considered swallowing one deliberately as a warning to the others, but I suspected that it wasn't going to have the desired effect.
Tomorrow I am out for a long long ride. Which means that my other activity for today was converting the P5 from race mode back to training mode. That mostly involves taking the race wheels off and changing out the carbon specific brake pads. Not a big task, but an important one.

As I mentioned above the ride tomorrow is a long one, but the weather tomorrow is forecast to be a bit nicer than the 36 degrees we have had for the last two days. Hopefully the forecast is somewhere in the ballpark of accurate and the ride will be a nice one.
