I have just been to the presentation ceremony for the Bintan Metaman, and so I thought now would be a good time to post some photos from the event.

So if I never achieve another thing in triathlon, I can say I have received a giant novelty cheque, which is something I have always wanted to do. So now I can tick that box.

Now is probably a good time to say thanks to a lot of people, without whom this trip to Bintan would have been a whole lot harder and probably not as successful. Firstly Daryl of course. Without his coaching, I think I might still be a triathlete, just a much slower one. My parents who came along for the trip and who have been an invaluable extra pair of hands as well as a great support crew. And finally my wife and my kids. Without their endless patience there would be no training and therefore no racing. Without their support there would be racing, but it would be slower. Having them out at the 4km mark of the run on race day, when it really looked like it was about to go bad, made all the difference. So thanks everyone.
