Burns like Chocolate

I fall into the category of deodorant buyer who walks into a shop and picks a can off the shelf of a million other identical cans and walks away. I am not a huge one for smell sampling. So I was pleasantly surprised to find out that my current deodorant smells faintly of chocolate, dark chocolate I think. Hmmm, lovely, I like chocolate. Turns out that it still stings like hell when you spray it in your eyes though. Don't do that.

In other news, here is a picture of a cute dog.

Cute dog
This dog is usually waiting outside the pool most Friday mornings. I finally remembered to get a photo of it. It is a great combination, having the happy glow of knowing you have finished a solid swim session then walking out of the pool and seeing a cute dog. That really was a very nice start to the rest of my day.

A good solid swim this morning. Still feeling a little fatigued from the long session on Wednesday, but got through this morning okay. Feeling very fatigued across the shoulders now. But that is sort of the point.

I had a wonderful ride last night. After worrying about the weather and considering a session on the wind trainer, it ended up being a perfect evening for cycling. Almost no wind, the rain held off, the roads were starting to dry, beautiful sunset. It was great. It was an interval session and I manged to hit my target speeds etc. Another one of those rides where you head out not expecting much and come out very pleasantly surprised.  Once again it is a lesson to not write off a training session before you have even done it. Just have to keep reminding myself that.
