Well the ride last night could probably be best described as character building. It could also, probably more accurately, be described as miserable. On the bright side, it didn't rain for the entire ride...

| Perth observations during my ride - no rain!!! My hypothermia disagrees |
Just one session today and it is already done. A run with some hill repeats. I spent the better part of an hour last Friday running through the dark streets around my house looking for a suitable hill for hill repeats. By the end of the run I was pretty sure I had found one. This morning I went and tried it out and happily it seems about right. It is a good hill with about the right gradient and the right length. Well it was a good hill for the first interval, by the last one it was a pretty evil bastard of a hill, but that isn't really the hill's fault.
In other news, we have Milo in the office again. Hooray. For those unaware, this is Milo:
When I moved to this office, there was no Milo. One of my guilty pleasures (not my biggest one) is the odd cup of Milo during the day, particularly if I am hungry and didn't bring enough food to work. So when I got here and there was no Milo I was greatly aggrieved. No longer though. Hooray again. It is such a good event that I feel it warrants two hoorays.
For those wondering, my greatest guilty pleasure is heading to the shops after a long Saturday morning ride, buying a litre of full cream milk and drinking it on the way home. It occurred to me the other day that I am not sure at what point in my life the height of debauchery became drinking milk, but there you go. I said it was my greatest guilty pleasure, I didn't say it was a good guilty pleasure.
Finally, Ironman Australia is on this weekend. I hope everyone has a good race. There are a number of folks heading over there from the Darwin Tri Club, so good luck to all of them.
