The point of this blog is really just to capture some of what happens in the life of an age group triathlete. It isn't a 'how to guide' speak to my coach Daryl Stanley about that. More just an account of some of the silly things we willingly expose ourselves to in the name of a sport (hence the name of the blog).
So some stuff about me. As mentioned on the front of the blog, I started racing triathlon competitively in early 2012, the now defunct Singapore 70.3 to be exact. Before that I had been many things including a swimmer, a rower, a kayaker and an adventure racer. I swim pretty well, ride okay and run badly. I now live in Perth, having moved here in early 2013 from Darwin. As mentioned above I am coached by Daryl Stanley, who is a man with the rare combination of a huge knowledge of the sport, total dedication to his athletes and the patience of a saint.
That is probably enough for a start. I should probably get on, after all there is a big session in the morning...
