End of week

Thoroughly exhausted today.

Not only have I made it to the end of my week of training, but on top of that I spent about 4 hours at a children's hockey tournament which really just put the last piece of icing on my exhaustion cake.

This first week of training on my new program has gone pretty well I think. As I said, I am pretty shattered now, but I am happy with how the week has gone. the weather hasn't been the conducive to good training (wettest June in Perth for 14 years), but I have managed to get through all the sessions which I am pretty proud of.

Training wise next week is more of the same, just a gradual build on this week, a bit more distance etc. This week was a bit of a shock to the system, but I am hoping that next week won't be quite as much as a shock and then over the next few weeks the body will be adapting and things won't be quite as hard. That is the plan anyway.

Despite the fatigue it is great to be back into the swing of consistent training. I love the feeling of building fitness and capacity and it is great to be back in that game.

Bring on next week. Just a spot of sleep first.
