Good times

So far so good on the exercise front, two decent sessions today, which is a step up from my usual Tuesday. So far it looks like resting yesterday morning may not have been the worst idea in the world.

The main session today was a bike session with the Front Runner mob. Great little session. 3 x 15 minute threshold efforts, which is probably one of the hardest sessions the squad is likely to do this season. A real test, but a good one. It is one of those sessions that requires pretty careful pacing and a conscious decision to push right to the end. The session will definitely hurt and each person in the squad today had to make the active choice to keep pushing anyway. If you can gather the will to push when the hurt starts to come in, then this is a great threshold sessions that brings both physical and mental benefits. Was a good effort from everyone.

This afternoon's session was a bit simpler, just a 30 minute jog for me. I have been getting in a 30 minute jog once a week for a while now but I am keen to increase that running volume a bit. I am pretty realistic about increasing volume so for this week I figured if I could get in 2 x 30 minute jogs then I would be pretty happy. Today was run 1 and it went well, actually a bit quicker than expected. Hopefully I manage a second run this week and it goes as well as today.
