Deja Vu

Managed to make it to the end of another solid week of life. A chunk of training, a bit of coaching, a whole bunch of house settling and a heap of quality time with the kids, oh and I built a chicken coop. too All good stuff.

Life at the moment is a little bit of a merry go around, although in a good way. It is certainly hectic, we kind of feel like there is always something we are supposed to be doing. However, it is fulfilling too, because each day we are getting a few more tasks done, the new house is a few steps closer to being a home etc. Rather than being a drag, it is actually pretty exciting and a bit of fun, at least for now it is, not sure if I will be sing the same tune if life is still the same in a few weeks time. In the immediate short term I can't see anything changing though and I think I am okay with that.

On that note, next week looks a lot like last week did. Uncannily similar in fact. Hopefully work is a bit less manic, but everything else looks close. Coaching on Tuesday morning, a paddle board race on Thursday afternoon, some athlete appointments on Friday and Saturday and hopefully some exercise in between all those.

On the exercise side of things I am pushing pretty hard at the moment in preparation for a couple of key races in the coming weeks. The first of those in in two weekends time and the other is the week after. The last three weeks of training have gone pretty well and hopefully I can get one more week of good quality training in before doing a bit of a taper next week. Fatigue levels have been pretty high, but nothing unmanageable, it will be good to switch over to taper mode though when the time comes. Probably the main thing I need to do better this week in comparison to last week is get more sleep, which I will be working on very shortly.

While the week may be routine, it won't be dull. Looking forward to getting on with it.
