Fair to say it has been a pretty hard week. The week got off to a bad start with disappointing and frustrating news that sort of left a bad taste in our mouths for the rest of the week. Only now that we have survived through to Friday has that taste started to clear.
There are probably some greater lessons in this week regarding resilience and perseverance and the fact that bad news passes with time, but to be honest I am just glad to reach the end of the week at this stage.
Besides the frustration of the week it has actually been a pretty good one exercise wise. This past two weeks have finally felt like I have been gaining some fitness after a couple of weeks of being on a plateau. It feels like some of the work of the past few months is finally paying dividends with gains in strength and fitness. Still plenty of work to do, but it can be satisfying when you get that feeling that the work is providing rewards. That has provided some nice upsides to some of the downs that have occurred this week.
Now that we have survived to the end of this week, I am sure looking forward to what should be a relaxing weekend. It is looking like this weekend will be a bit less crazy than the last few have been and that will be very welcome.
First though some sleep.
