Back Home

Home again from Darwin, and oh boy is it great to be home.

The trip up to Darwin was very satisfying and even a little bit fun, but it is always hard being away from the family. The trip back home today was a long one, but it was awesome to finally get back to the wife and kids. To make it even better Perth has been putting on a particularly nice day of Spring weather and so we got to spend a bit of quality family time heading out for a walk along the river.

Magic.

Now that I am back in town I can concentrate on getting back to routine for a little while, starting with some coaching in the morning. No sessions for me tomorrow, but just a bit of time catching up with athletes and seeing how they are going on their respective training journeys. These 1 on 1 catch ups are one of my favourite parts of coaching as I get a chance to really chat to the athletes individually and learn a bit more about them, give a bit of personalised guidance and hear about how they are going.

Following on from the catch ups tomorrow it will be back into a week of coaching with a bit of time spent down at the pool, plus out on the road watching athletes ride.

Can't wait.
