Crammed

Buuusy day, phew, a bit shattered now..However, for once none of the busyness is coaching related.

Today was just one of those days where we had a lot to fit in. It was always going to be a busy one and so I am not at all surprised that it was. In fact I am rather happy that we managed to squeeze it all in. Today included:

  • A run for me and my wife (separate runs)
  • Kid's hockey training
  • A visit to a local historical site for a school assignment. Twice
  • A bit of a paddle for me
  • A swim for my wife
  • A rehearsal for my wife
  • A movie with the kids, and
  • Some house cleaning.
I feel tired just typing it. Still we managed to cram it all in.

As a result of that day this blog is going to be a short one. Partly because I am tired and partly because I just realised I have a flat tyre to fix before I go to bed so that I can get up and go riding with the BYL juniors tomorrow.

Tomorrow looks like being a day similar to today. Besides going riding with the juniors we have a string of other activities to fit in including my sister's birthday and a few other things. If I can manage it I would also love to head down and watch some of the Perth Marathon which is being run tomorrow. We will be riding near the course and so it should be possible to swing by and watch a bit, although I think I will miss the front end of the race. There are plenty of folks from Front Runners out competing tomorrow and so it would be good to stop off and lend some support.

Before I go I should also give a quick mention to Break Your Limits. BYL started off as a club just a short few years ago and today they took out the Champion Club Award at the annual Triathlon WA awards breakfast. Phenomenal effort given how young the club is and a great testament to the men and women who both run the club and compete for it. Very proud to be involved.

Now, if you will excuse me I have a tyre to change before collapsing into bed.
