A Mothery Day

Mother's Day here in Australia, which meant that today was not about exercise but rather about more important things. As a result, today was the first day in ages that I didn't do any exercise.

One of the nice things about not racing any more is that I don't feel like I have to try and fit training in, or feel guilty if I can't. Rather, I was able to simply have a day off, enjoying the time with my family. It is one of the nicer perks of not being able to race.

While I didn't train today, it doesn't mean that today was a day without triathlon. In fact it was quite the opposite.

As I mentioned yesterday I am doing a Level 1 Triathlon Coaching Course next weekend. Part of that course is quite a bit of online pre-work, which is exactly what I was doing today. I had been hoping that the pre-work would be a bit of a formality, but it was far from it. In fact, I spent close to 4 hours working through it today. It was all very interesting content though, covering subjects such as Child Protection, Discrimination and Harassment and ASADA Anti-Doping information. Enlightening.

Some of it was a little dry, but I have to hand it to ASADA, their website and training was actually really slick and very informative. I am looking forward to next weekend even more now.

As well as doing the pre-work, the other triathlon related activity I was doing was this.

That's right a discount on shoes!!!

This discount is being offered on Mizunos as part of a promotion between The Running Warehouse and Break Your Limits. The prices at The Running Warehouse are already very competitive, so combining them with a 15% discount will make for some good deals on shoes for anyone who may be interested. Shoes ahoy.

Now, time for sleeping. Tomorrow, back to exercising.
