Just a pinch

There was much blood letting today. Well okay three little vials of it, but it did involve a point needle and stuff.

Toughen up princess
As I mentioned yesterday I headed down to the pathology collection centre this morning to get a bit of blood taken for some tests. The biggest ordeal about doing so was that it required fasting, which meant no breakfast this morning. This is a problem because I really, really like breakfast. I mean a lot. It also meant no breakfast coffee, which while not the end of the world, certainly didn't help my outlook on life. Still the blood was taken nice and early and I was able to catch up on my eating and caffeine nice and quick. Plus in three days or so I should know if I just have a cold or something more serious, which will be a big relief one way or another.

On a general, how do I feel, front. Still rotten. Not quite as rotten as yesterday, but not all that much better. Well enough to get to work and be a useful engine (Thomas the Tank Engine reference, pick the guy with kids), but not much beyond that.

Still not all is doom and gloom. Today is my 14th Wedding Anniversary which is sort of a big deal. I am always amazed at just how fast time has passed. It hasn't felt like 14 years at all. Time flies and all that I guess. It has been a fairly epic 14 years, one part of my life that I wouldn't change for anything. Given how I feel and that we have both had to work it has been a fairly quiet anniversary, but we did manage to get out for a really, really nice lunch today. Happy tummy.
