The run was a bit of a repeat of the run I had on Tuesday, but with an extra 5km piece thrown in. So it worked out to be a longish run. Going in I was still feeling a bit sore from the run on Tuesday and a bit tired from riding last night. But I was also keen to give it a push and so I tried to start positive and pushed from there.
The only downside to the run was that I stacked it right near the end. Turns out that looking down at your watch, when you are tired and running over uneven paving is not a great idea. Annoying as well because it happened at a point where I know the ground is uneven and I always remind myself to be careful. Bit too tired I guess. No permanent damage done, painful at the time though.

The ride last night was a tough one as well. Not so much because of what I was doing, although the intervals weren't easy. But more because of the conditions. It was around 35 degrees for most of the ride and it was just a bit on the warm side. I went through a bunch of water etc, but still, riding in those conditions just takes a lot out of you. By the time I got home I was pretty wrung out.
Back on the bike this afternoon, but this session will be a bit more of an easy spin. Shorter as well, which is good because I am not sure my legs have another long hard ride in them at the moment.
