Double Check

Long tough run this morning. Not helped by the fact that I hadn't read my program properly and so made it a bit longer and a bit tougher. Not the best plan.

The run had some intervals in it so I headed to the beach, which has a great bit of path for intervals. It was quite a wintery morning today and it was blowing a gale, which made some of the run pretty unpleasant. I don't usually notice head winds all that much when running, but this was the sort of wind that you notice. I was feeling yesterday's long ride as well, so in the end I was quite happy to get to the end of run.

Since it was the weekend I got to enjoy the luxury of heading out a little later. As a result it was actually light for a large part of the run. I was running along some of the paths that I normally use for my early morning Wednesday runs. I realised that whilst I have run the paths many times, this morning may have been the first time that I have actually seen them. It turns out that I am haven't been missing much.

Today's wintery morning has graduated into a wintery day so we are having a good bit of rain at the moment. Very glad I am not out trying to ride. I would be a little more glad if I had remembered to bring my running gear in off the line. Oh well, if I am to be honest, it could probably do with more of a wash anyway.

Good to get to the end of the week. Ready to start again tomorrow.
